Frequently asked

The short answers.

Every conversation captured. Every relationship strengthened. Every event smarter. Here is what that means in practice — and what to expect between now and M&I Expo 2027.

What is WyredX?

WyredX is the next evolution of the Worldwide Events customer experience — an intelligent platform that makes every interaction with M&I and PLE simpler, smarter and more valuable, before, during and after every event. It is much more than a replacement for our existing event technology.

When does it launch?

Our target is Version 1 by M&I Expo 2027, although many of the core capabilities will be introduced progressively before then. That process has already begun with the phased rollout of our enhanced, persistent customer profiles.

Why are we building it?

Like most businesses in our industry, we have gradually accumulated a fragmented mix of systems for registration, scheduling, messaging, reporting and customer management. These tools have served us well, but they operate in silos and limit both the customer experience and how intelligently we can use our data. WyredX brings these capabilities together into one connected ecosystem powered by AI, automation and agents.

What will customers notice?

Unified identity — one persistent profile across all Worldwide Events brands. Less administration, with faster onboarding and fewer repetitive forms. Smarter meetings, through personalised recommendations and AI-generated briefings. Better event support, including live assistance and multi-language support. And better follow-up, with more structured post-event intelligence and actions.

What is WyredX Notes?

Using the new generation of AI-powered wearable and recording devices now emerging from companies such as Apple, Google, Meta and OpenAI, customers will be able to securely capture their one-to-one meetings, with explicit permission. The platform then turns those conversations into meeting summaries, agreed actions, follow-up reminders and CRM-ready notes.

Will WyredX Notes work with our own device?

It is designed to be device-agnostic over time, able to work with the best suitable recording hardware as the market develops. For our events, we also expect to offer a simple, low-profile, turn-key recording device that customers can use on site at an additional cost.
